Bucks County Man, 21, Killed By Falling Tree Branch: Coroner

A 21-year-old Bucks County man died nine days after being struck by a falling tree branch when he was removing a tree, authorities said.

Jesse Owens of East Rockhill Township was pronounced dead on Sunday, Aug. 11 at about 3 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

The cause of death is complications of blunt force trauma to the head, the coroner said.

The accident occurred on Friday, Aug. 2, at about 1 p.m. in the 80 Block of Ridge Run Road, East Rockhill Township, the coroner said.

A GoFundMe campaign was organized on Jesse's behalf.

He was a Pennridge High School graduate.
